great writeup. i've never played any zelda games, but have been fascinated by the malleability of the franchise, and this explains it really well.
Wow, I never thought so much thought had been put into the Zelda world. I had always assumed it was just some ageless timeless retelling of the same tale.

Now I want to finish Wind Walker and Twilight Princess to see how they end.
I have to agree with this completely. I began playing Zelda on the 64 and was used to nice graphics. After they released Wind Waker I was shocked - expecting the beautiful trailer graphics that were previewed. But after I actually played it, I was very entertained. Moreso, actually, then by Twilight Princess which was too involved and seemed more Final Fantasy-esque than Zeldaish. I'm very excited for the new DS game.

I started Phantom Hourglass this week-end, and this is freakin' awesome!
I was impressed for the first two days.. it bored me after awhile. No fun =/
