I have been to hoover dam twice in my life and it still never ceases to amaze me. The feeling of accomplishment and sheer wonder for those in the depression times must have been amazing. I could look up at it, but I could NOT look down from this vantage point. I remember National Lampoon's Vacation - "If you want some damn photos, you can get them at the damn giftshop at the end of the damn tour."
