I guess I didn't look at notcomet at all after 0.4 was released yesterday because I missed the question of the day... I can fake it, right?

For the sake of nostalgia I'll mention a candy that I haven't been able to find in years - super mario candy. Small packages of mario-themed sugary bits that, in all honesty, looked and tasted like children's vitamins. This was a good thing of course because children's vitamins may be the most addictive candy I know of. I could just sit there and pop 200% of my daily calcium all day long. The only place I remember being able to get it was some cheapy shop in a mall near my house and the packaging was so shoddy that I kindof wonder if it was actually officially licensed or not. Anyway, I haven't been able to find it on google or anything. I'd give my left arm for a big box of these things.

Truely, though, I think my favorite candy was cry baby tears. I probably shouldn't be such a big fan of sour candy because it just kills my teeth but I can't help it!They're SOOO good.

Did this question of the day inspire anyone else to go buy their favorite candy on some bulk website or am I just a sucker?

I find myself pretty constantly clicking on "Friends and Family" links on other users blogs most particularly when they have the same design as I do. Getting to someone else's friends page is nice to have but I think it might be helpful to display these links in a different way when the non-owner is viewing the blog. Perhaps the links can change to username's Friends and Family or username's Contacts to clearly distinguish them from the simple Friends and Family or Contacts that you probably have on your blog.

So, here's a question: eljay uses Next and Previous as More Recent and Less Recent respectively. Comet uses Next as Less Recent and Previous as More Recent. Which is more correct?

Personally, I think using Next to move forward in time is confusing - don't most friends page readers start on page 0 and move backwards in time? Next is just too inviting. Next suggests that clicking on it will take you to the next logical step in whatever process you're going through which is just untrue if you're reading friend posts in reverse-chron order. I say ditch Next and Previous and go with something clearly chronological like More Recently and Previously (or Later and Earlier).

Cabel posted a lengthy review of installing windows XP on a 20" intel iMac via bootcamp and (here's the fun part) posted video of Half Life 2 running really, really nicely. So here's where I use the nonexistant poll feature on notcomet:

Nick wants to stop taking his laptop to and from work just so he can have a windows machine at home. Nick has a first-gen mini at home which could potentially be used somewhere else. Nick doesn't actually need a new computer.

Should Nick:

a) Go for it. 20" intel imac. Right. Now.

b) Wait for it. 20" intel imacs will be refurbs soon enough and you can knock $400 off the price tag just like you did for your current 20" G5 iMac.
