If you don't already have 4th of July plans this year, join Becca and I for the opening performance of this year's SF Mime Troupe show, "Making a Killing," at Dolores park. Show starts at 2pm but we'll be there around 1 for some wine, cheese and nibbles. The show ends at 4 and afterwards it's just a short walk back to our house for some tasty grillings. Let us know if you want to come, Charm actually knows people in this group so she'll definitely be there. She loves mimes.
Has anyone else seen a suspicious SUV with what looks like a tall rectangular speaker on top in the Bay area? I was at the Noe Valley courts in San Francisco when an SUV with "earthmine" printed on the side stopped at the corner of Elizabeth and Douglass and the guy got out to adjust whatever bit of equipment was on the roof. As I remember it, the logo is the same as www.earthmine.com but that site doesn't have anything useful on it (other than a local whois address). I know many people have seen the street view cameras on top of cars for Google Maps, has anyone else seen this vehicle?
So, our roommate is moving out on the 1st of April and Rebecca and I are looking for someone to take her place. We're currently scouring craigslist but that can be a crapshoot. If you know anyone that wants to live in a nice 3BR place in Noe Valley, backyard, nice kitchen with two mellow (somewhat, kinda mellow without major drama) people, do give me a hollar.
Craigslist post here for the details: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/roo/295834282.html
It was a tough day for hiking in the city. Too damn nice out.
It was an even tougher day navigating through brush like this. Naturally, becca mapped our way right into the swamp. The only thing more obnoxious than people on the sidewalks in San Francisco is people on the sidewalks with umbrellas in San Francisco.
There's a big game of assassins on Sunday at 2PM in Sutro Heights Park if anyone wants to go.
I've never been but it sounds fun enough: Everyone gets a sock filled with flour and a polaroid of someone else in the park. You're given three minutes to disperse and then the game begins! Hit someone with your floursock to kill them, take their polaroid of whoever they were supposed to kill and continue. Should be fun, neh?
There's a free Go Game in Hayes Valley on August 4th (that's a friday, it's from 6 to 9) that I'm trying to gather a team for. The Go Game is an interactive scavenger hunt of sorts around a particular location (hayes valley, in this case), designed for corporate team building but they do regular group games as well.
It can be confusing. Check out the Flash video. And tell me if you might want to play!
